Ireland's most popular puppy names revealed

Like it or not, but choosing the right dog name IS a big deal!

Irish owned pet-retailer Petmania.ie has surveyed over 1,600 pet-parents in Ireland as part of its annual Puppy of the Year competition.

The survey has unveiled the top-ten most popular names for man’s best friend.

Many of the country’s new four-legged friends are named after celebrities, such as Toto Wolff, Bowie, Elvis, Axl, Tyson, Snoop Dogg, and Gigi.

Lots of puppies were also named after popular fictional characters, especially those who were trending in 2023 like Wednesday and Barbie.

For the second year running, the most popular puppy name is…Bailey!
