Remember when a couple of years ago Toblerone announced they would be changing the shape of the iconic chocolate bar, to have larger gaps between the peaks, and fans were not happy? Well, two years later and it seems that finally fans' prayers have been answered, as the original shape of the Toblerone is making a comeback!

Toblerone

According to reports, the company behind the popular chocolate bar, US-based company Mondelez International, has said that the new shape had not been a 'perfect long-term answer' for its customers, and has plans to change the current size of the bar from 150g to 200g. This new weight would also revert it to its traditional shape.

The Toblerone was first downsized in 2016 due to a rise in the cost of ingredients, however the design with the larger gaps between the peaks wasn't received well by fans, with many taking to social media to vent their frustration.

One person joked, 'I think the gap in the #Toblerone is big enough to take a paperback now?', whilst another said, '@Toblerone not happy to see the size of the gaps in these new bars'.

One Twitter user set up a petition back in 2016 and just a few days ago received an email to say the petition had been successful!
