In case you missed it, there was an earthquake in and around Aylesbury this morning.

In typical Aylesbury style, there have been some very tongue-in-cheek responses to the unusual event in Aylesbury.

Mostly, this has been based around wheelie-bins.

Some have taken the above tweet a little too literally, but many jokes revolve around bins falling over.

Free wheelie-bin anyone?

One company has actually offered free bins to those affected!

Anyone who is in need of a shiny new wheelie bin in any of the affected areas can contact BiGDUG down in Slough and receive a brand new yellow bin, courtesy of the company.

Polly Maclennan of BiGDUG said:

“We can see the destruction the quake has caused on the streets of Leighton Buzzard and want to help anyone in need – get in touch and we can assist with the rebuild efforts in the community.”

Even our emergency services were hit!

Some are thinking it could be due to HS2 construction.

Others disagree...
