Time to move your car! Council warns boats and businesses in Eyemouth may be at risk of flooding
Motorists are being advised to move their vehicles from the harbour area in Eyemouth amid concerns over rising water levels.
The flood barriers have been deployed ahead of today's high tide - which is expected to peak around 3.42pm this afternoon (Tuesday).
Sandbags have also been handed out to help protect the seaside town from flooding.
Scottish Borders Council says some local businesses and boats may be at risk – with a Yellow weather warning for rain in place until 6pm.
Up to 60mm is expected to fall in some places.
An alert issued by the local authority said: "Drivers are requested to move vehicles from the beach slip end of the harbour at Eyemouth near the Cobblehouse.
"There is a risk of waves overtopping the sea defences at Eyemouth. Businesses near to the harbour and vessels moored within the harbour may be at risk."

A section of the A68 south of St Boswells was flooded earlier, due to water run-off from a neighbouring field - with traffic being brought to a standstill at one point.
Rail passengers on the East Coast Main Line are being advised to plan extra time for their journeys as heavy rain moves in, with speed restrictions now in force.
