Known for her incredible 1987 hit 'I Think We're Alone Now', American singer Tiffany joined Jackie Brambles on The Evening Show to talk about her rise to fame as well as her new music and plans for a tour.

Tiffany quickly became a teen icon in the 80s and she opened up about her rise to fame. When Jackie asked what it was like to become famous so early on, Tiffany replied: "At the time I don't think I even really cared about that, I just went with it, you know? It was fun for me."

She added: "Getting up for school on a Monday morning, after being on the 'Mall Tour' all weekend, not my favourite. I was a little late to class and sometimes I missed a few days."

How old was Tiffany in 'I Think We're Alone Now'?

Speaking about the song that started it all, Tiffany said: "It was recorded when I was 14, released when I was 15. So at the end of 15, it was already on the charts and I was doing the 'Mall Tour'. I mean by the time 16 and 17 hit I was touring the world."

Is Tiffany bringing out new music?

Tiffany will bring our her 11th studio album 'Shadows' on 25th November.

Ahead of the full album's release, she shared the track 'I Like The Rain' on 14th October. She described the song as: "One of her favourite songs from the album"

Speaking about the track being more of an edgy rock genre which is not her usual style, she commented: "I think the fans are ready for it, it's got a little bit of an element of an 80s vibe with modern-day production, but it's also very danceable."

What is 'I Like The Rain' by Tiffany about?

Tiffany explained that the song is about: "Not glorifying bad behaviour, but understanding it's a patch of your life that is maybe a little dysfunctional or maybe you went a little too far and you have to step back a bit.

"We do have times where we're a little more angry or we're wanting to be defiant, and that's kind of what 'I Like The Rain' is about."

Is Tiffany on tour?

While talking to Jackie, the singer revealed that she does have a tour coming in 2023 but dates have not yet been announced.

She said: "Shadows will have a tour coming in the new year, but with limited dates, we have bigger production though. Just to accommodate some of these health issues that I'm going through. It's just about pacing really."
