George Ezra says next year will be even more crazy 😮

George Ezra delighted fans earlier this year when he burst back onto the music scene with his hit 'Anyone For You', as well as announcing his upcoming third album 'Gold Rush Kid'. Following the release of his next single 'Green Green Grass', George joined us at the epic Hits Live Liverpool 2022.

Along with the 'Budapest' hitmaker, the line-up included huge names Anne-Marie, James Bay, Jax Jones, Tom Walker, Clean Bandit, Joel Corry and Becky Hill.

We caught up with George backstage of Hits Live Liverpool, where he told us next year would be a big one.

"This summer is nowhere near as crazy as it would have been in years gone by," he explained. "I think next year will be... I think it's that boring thing of festivals couldn't happen in 2020, they've been carried over, but we headlined a lot in 2019, so they didn't want us back for 2020!"

He continued: "There will be bits going on, but I think next year will be the real 'strap in' summer."

George went on to say that he's played Glastonbury a few times and: "That's the pinnacle of it."

George Ezra fans were over the moon when the singer announced that he was officially releasing new music this year - first in the form of single 'Anyone For You', then his next single 'Green Green Grass'.

George is set to release his upcoming album 'Gold Rush Kid' on 10th June 2022, and will then be heading on a UK arena tour later in the year.

'Gold Rush Kid' will be George's first album offering since 2018's 'Staying at Tamara's, with the singer's first album 'Wanted on Voyage' being released four years prior in 2014.
