James Arthur has just released his album 'Bitter Sweet Love', with a tour of the same name coming up later this year. So, with brand new music now out Fleur East, James Barr and Matt caught up with him on Hits Radio, to talk about the album, and he gave some parenting advice to Fleur.

James has a little girl called Emily, who was born back in 2022, and as Fleur is expecting a baby soon, James Barr asked James Arthur all about parenthood and if he had any tips for Fleur.

"I think every child is different," he explained: "And so, you know, apart from the kind of cliché stuff that I'm sure you've heard from lots of people, it's just how amazing it's gonna be."

He went on to say: "I would just say trust your instincts."

James then joked: "Do you like sleep? Do you enjoy sleeping? Well, that's gone!" Fleur went on to reveal that she's been playing music to her bump, to see how it reacts, asking James about Emily's choice in music, and it wasn't the answer she was expecting.

"She likes Rick Ross quite a lot," he admitted, going on to say: "She likes everyday I'm 'Hustlin'', obviously we don't play the verses to her, but she yeah, she likes... She loves that song. She starts kind of like rocking back and forth."

The 'Blindside' singer went on to say: "There's one song of mine in particular that settles her when she's upset, which is the first song from this album 'A Year Ago', for some reason, she likes that one."

James released 'A Year Ago' back in May 2023. The song is an emotional track reflecting on memories of a previous relationship. In the music video, James revisits memories of an ex-girlfriend, as he sees things that make him reminisce.

James, who told us last year that he nearly abandoned his hit 'Blindside', also teased a new song with a "very special person". The singer, who previously told us he'd be interested in working with Taylor Swift or Miley Cyrus, told Fleur and the team.

"I sent a DM, but I got 'pied'," he admitted. "I always get pied!"

However, he went on to tease a new song saying: "We did find someone really special though, to sing on the song that I was talking about last time I was here. So that's good. I can't tell you who it is..."

We need to know more James! 👀
