Ever since 'Just Hold On' singer Louis Tomlinson was confirmed as the fourth judge on this year's The X Factor panel, fans have been wondering which of the other One Direction lads he would pick to do the Judges' Houses round with him.

Although he has four One Direction boys to pick from - Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and former member Zayn Malik - it seems as though one in particular is more keen than the others, and took to his Instagram Story to reveal as much earlier this week.

It turns out that Niall Horan is pretty eager to get on the judging panel, and practically revealed that he'd love to help out during an Instagram Story Q&A.

When asked, "Would you like to join/visit Louis on The X Factor?" Niall eagerly replied, "Of course. Can’t wait to go down and see him in action," leading many to think that this was definitive proof that Niall would be joining the show in this capacity.

One Direction formed on The X Factor in 2010. All five members auditioned as individual contestants and were put together as a group by Simon Cowell.

HOWEVER, in new developments, it looks like 'Strip That Down' singer Liam Payne could also be set to join Louis on the popular show.

After Liam posted a snap of himself chilling at an airport, fans were quick to speculate that he could be flying out to Ibiza, where Louis' Judges' Houses filming is reportedly taking place. These reports were then fueled EVEN further when a fan of Liam bumped into him at Ibiza airport, with the 'Strip That Down' singer happily posing for a selfie. The fan wrote on his account, 'Off to Ibiza with my mate @liampayne #onedirection #liampayne #holidays #vacation #mode #eivissa #tbt #partynonstop #directioners'. sic

This comes after the rumour that the judges' categories have been already been leaked, with Louis reportedly being in charge of the Boys - even though he was in one of the biggest boy bands in the world.

But the Groups category has been taken on by Robbie Williams, who was admittedly in yet another of the biggest boybands in the world - Take That. His wife, Ayda Field, is reportedly set to take on the Overs category, with head honcho Simon Cowell to once again be in charge of the Girls.

The X Factor auditions are currently shown on ITV, every Saturday and Sunday at 8pm. Here's everything you need to know about this year's series of The X Factor.

Meanwhile, despite One Direction fans being in a major panic that the band may NEVER reunite, Louis Tomlinson recently revealed some VERY exciting news about the band.

Speaking on Lorraine in September, all four judges discussed the new series of the show and if Louis will be reuniting with the other 1D boys. "We're all just enjoying our time," Louis replied, "But for me, there's no way, with a band like One Direction that it's not going to happen again.
