Earlier this week we announced that Key 103 is upgrading and is set to become the city’s first national commercial radio station to broadcast from right here in Manchester and will change its name to Hits Radio.

The news broke with an announcement from Gemma, Matt & Mike on the breakfast show as they share in their excitement about the new radio station.

Mike will be moving to mid-mornings while Matt will produce Gemma, along with Gethin Jones and Dave Vitty when the station launches on 4th June.

Debbie Mac will host in the afternoons and Wes Butters will be getting you home with a brand new Drivetime show every weekday afternoon from 4pm – 7pm.

We chatted to Sarah-Jane Crawford who will be presenting a new evening show. She said, “So thrilled and excited to join the team here in Manchester. With celeb guests and music, I’ll be pulling out the SJC fun at every given opportunity. Bring it on!"

Hits Radio will continue to bring the people of Manchester local news and travel updates as well as chat and information on all the biggest events happening right here in the city.
