Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian's 8-year-old son tears through 'Everlong' with Foo Fighters

Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian had the “proudest dad moment ever” when his eight-year-old son Revel Young Ian shared the stage with Foo Fighters over the weekend.
Scott Ian took to Instagram last night to post footage of his young lad Revel Young Ian joining Dave Grohl and co. to play guitar on set closer ‘Everlong’ at the Bourbon & Beyond festival in Louisville, Kentucky on Friday 20th September.
Alongside the six-minute clip, Ian wrote: “There goes my hero! Proudest dad moment ever?
“How about when your son gets to join his favourite band on stage to play Everlong in front of 40,000 people and NAILS IT! Thank you Dave, Taylor, Pat, Nate, Chris, Rami, Gus, Kerwin, Sean, Patrick, Simone and everyone else on the Foo crew for being the best!!!”

Five years ago in an interview with Horns Up Rocks, Scott Ian said the then three-year-old Revel was already a keen rock music aficionado.
"He knows a lot of the stuff that he hears or sees in the house," Ian said. "But what's really cool is that he actually recognizes and knows the difference between Bon Scott and Brian Johnson, which is pretty cool, I think, for an almost three-year-old. Anytime AC/DC is on, he'll go, 'That's Bon singing.' And then when it's not Bon, he'll say, 'That's not Bon singing.' He knows. That's pretty cool, I think."
Dave and Scott have previously played on stage together themselves, joining the likes of Corey Taylor and Pantera's Rex Brown at the yearly memorial concert for Dimebag Darrell, Dimebash, earlier this year. Watch them play Kiss' Love Gun' below:
Foo Fighters played five UK & Ireland festival shows in August, including headline slots at Reading and Leeds Festival.
In an interview with Rock Sound at Reading, drummer Taylor Hawkins said he hopes Foo Fighters will release a new album in 2020.
Hawkins said: "Well, from what I've heard from our fearless leader Dave Grohl, he has a lot of demos that he's worked on and I think we'll start, once this tour is over... I think not too soon after that we'll start the process of putting the songs together as a band."
He continued: "It's a long process, we do a lot of demoing and stuff, but I think that we'll have, I'm hoping, I think we'll have a new record by next year. We should.
