Ghost frontman Tobias Forge (aka Papa Emeritus) makes a surprise guest appearance with Behemoth frontman Nergal's side-project Me and That Man on their new song ‘Under the Spell’.

No stranger to a stage name, Swedish rocker Tobias Forge performed under the alias of Mary Goore in metal bands such as Repugnant and Crashdïet, prior to the formation of Ghost.

Forge now returns to the name Mary Goore on Me and That Man’s track ‘Under the Spell’, where his familiar vocals can be recognised by any Ghost fan.

Me and That Man is the side project of Adam 'Nergal' Darski, vocalist of Polish metal band Behemoth. The spin-off band sees Nergal step aside from Behemoth’s black metal to experiment with dark Americana and blues-rock.

Listen to Me and That Man's 'Under the Spell':

‘Under The Spell’ (feat. Mary Goore) is as bewitching as its title suggests. The song leans on the heavier side of Me and That Man’s soundscape, with a clambering of snare and bass, and a dreary ambience that is perfectly suited to Tobias Forge’s vocals. Stirred in with a spaghetti western element, ‘Under The Spell’s haunting theatrics are hard to forget.

“Here we go folks! We’re back again, this time with ‘Under The Spell’, featuring Mary Goore,” comments Nergal on the new track. “It’s rockabilly on steroids - I love the song. It’s a part of Me and That Man that we hadn’t yet explored in this form. For now, enjoy the single, the full album will be with you soon!”

The single is the latest cut from Me and That Man’s upcoming album, ‘New Man, New Songs, Same S---, Vol. 2’ which arrives this Friday 19th November via Napalm Records, featuring artists such as former Iron Maiden vocalist Blaze Bayley and Devin Townsend.

After the surprising debut record ‘Songs of Love And Death’ in 2017, Me and That Man’s two-part album started last year with ‘New Man, New Songs, Same S---, Vol. 1’. Its follow-up continues to see Nergal embrace experimental folk-rock over the extreme metal of Behemoth.
