Slipknot’s mystery new percussionist brilliantly trolled fans over their identity at a recent show on the We Are Not Your Kind World Tour.

Two months after long-term percussionist Chris Fehn exited Slipknot in acrimonious circumstances, on 16th May 2019 the Iowan masked metallers unveiled their enigmatic new percussionist to the world via their ‘Unsainted’ video.

Despite valiant attempts from Maggots across the world over the ensuing weeks, no one has managed to answer the burning question ‘Who is Slipknot’s new percussionist?’.

When Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan was asked by Kerrang! about the percussionist’s identity, he quickly shut the interviewer down, saying ““The position you may or may not be talking about is nobody’s f***ing business. The proof is in the pudding.”

On Saturday (6th July), an image was posted to Reddit from an unspecified recent Slipknot show on the We Are Not Your Kind World Tour. It depicts the new percussionist – affectionately dubbed ‘Tortilla Man’ by Maggots on the Internet – standing over his drum kit.

Expertly trolling fans, scribbled on the percussionist’s the drum skins are the words ‘Who is the new guy?’ and an outline of a head and shoulders with a question mark over them.

Back in 2014, drummer Jay Weinberg’s identity was revealed when his ex-bandmate Laura Jane Grace slammed him on social media.

Allessando ‘Vman’ Venturella of Krokodil was unmasked by eagle-eyed Maggots who spotted his distinctive hand tattoos in the ‘The Devil In I’ video in September 2014.

Corey Taylor later voiced his dismay at Vman’s identity being revealed, saying: “Somebody already pointing out the tattoos. I was like, ‘Why didn’t we make him wear gloves?’ I was so upset.

“We thought of all this stuff – we put the hood on him and then the mask, and he was like, ‘It’s really hot, guys.’ Then there’s his tattoos for everybody. We missed the mark on that one.”
