Over 1,000 musicians have joined forces to perform Nirvana’s seminal 1991 anthem ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ in tandem.

Back in 2014, Italian rock aficionado Fabio Zaffagnini launched a successful crowdfunding campaign that brought 1,000 guitarists, drummers, bassists and singers together the following summer to perform an astonishingly tight version of Foo Fighters 'Learn To Fly' in the city of Cesena, Italy.

The video of the performance amassed over 34million views on YouTube with Foo Fighters themselves thanking the ‘biggest rock band on Earth’ during their Sonic Highways World Tour show in Cesena in November 2015.

Bolstered by the success, the Rockin’ 1000 collective organised the That’s Live concert last July where the band took over the Stadio Dino Manuzzi to belt out 17 anthems including AC/DC’s ‘It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)’, The Rolling Stones’ ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash’ and a Led Zeppelin/Jimi Hendrix medley.

Perfectly showcasing the truly incredible spectacle, Rockin’ 1000 have just shared footage of their perfectly synced performance of Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ from that show.
