Northsound 1's Win it Minute - Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Jeff and Lauren’s Win it Minute” (the “Competition”). These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms which also apply to this Competition.

1. COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

The Competitor will be asked a series of up to ten (10) questions in sixty (60) seconds (“Time Limit”) on air.

Only the first answer given to each question will be accepted. An independent adjudicator will be present at the station to resolve any disputes. The adjudicator’s decision shall be final and no further discussion will be entered into.

If the Competitor answers all ten (10) questions correctly within the Time Limit, they will win £500.

Contestants will be chosen from those who call the studio, or those who have registered online to play.

Contestants who play on a Tuesday may be asked to have the answer revealed to a question from the following days quiz, those listening can take note of this ahead of the following days quiz round. This will be clearly signposted on-air and referred to as 'Win-nesday'

From time to time time quiz questions may be themed.

2. ENTRY PLATFORMS AND COSTS

(B) Registering online

Online entry is free, calls to 01224 400969 are charged at standard network rate.

3. DATES

Start Date and End Date. From Monday 1st June 2019 (Start Date).

Entrants can enter the competition Daily Excluding weekends Monday - Friday once Jeff and Lauren open the phone lines. The phones lines will be open between 07:50 and 08:00 unless otherwise stated on air. Entrants can register their interest to play any time on northsound1.com

Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.

Winner Announcement. The name and the hometown of any winner(s) will be announced daily on air immediately following the Competition.

The Promoter (Northsound 1) will speak to the winner on air. The promotor (Northsound 1) will also announce the winner on northsound1.com, and across their social media channels.

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

• Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.

• Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, incl. the Prize Provider, must not enter.

Other entry restrictions are as follows: Competition is open to whose home address has a postcode beginning in: AB, DD9 or DD10

5. THE PRIZE

The prize, £500.00 will be paid either in cash, or by bank transfer and will be delivered to the winners nominated account within 28 days.

If this cannot take place, a cheque will be raised within 28 days of the winner providing a valid photo ID and separate proof of address.

The Promoter reserves the right to make the prize payment by an alternative means should payment by cheque not be possible for any reason.

The Prize is provided by the promotor (Northsound 1)..

Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.

OTHER CONDITIONS

6. DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and/or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. 7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

8. MISCELLANEOUS.

a. Entries that don’t comply with these terms will not be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you have breached them.

b. Entrants must not have played the competition on-air in the previous 1 month regardless of winning or losing on their previous attempt.

c. If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.

d. The correct answers to questions must exactly match our answers to win.

e. We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.

f. You are responsible for all costs of entry.

g. You may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.

h. Whilst on-air, you must not make inappropriate or offensive statements.

i. As far as it is lawful to do so, we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition / the Prize.

j. We may cancel / amend / end / suspend the Competition if we need to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
