Bruce Springsteen will release a new studio album with the E Street Band entitled ‘Letter To You’ on Friday 23rd October 2020 via Columbia Records.

The Boss’s 20th studio album was recorded completely live with the E Street Band over just five days at Springsteen’s home studio in New Jersey.

Boasting 12 tracks, ‘Letter To You’ is billed as “a rock album fuelled by the E Street Band’s heart-stopping, house-rocking signature sound.”

‘Letter To You’ is Springsteen’s first studio record to feature the fabled E Street Band since ‘High Hopes’ in 2014, and it’s also the first time The Boss has united with them since the critically-lauded River Tour in 2016 and 2017.

Commenting on his new album, Bruce Springsteen said: “I love the emotional nature of 'Letter To You.’ And I love the sound of the E Street Band playing completely live in the studio, in a way we’ve never done before, and with no overdubs.

“We made the album in only five days, and it turned out to be one of the greatest recording experiences I’ve ever had.”

‘Letter To You’ features nine completely new Bruce Springsteen tracks together with a trio of previously unreleased songs from the 1970s: 'Janey Needs a Shooter,' 'If I Was the Priest' and 'Song for Orphans.'

‘Letter To You’ is the follow-up to Bruce Springsteen’s 2019 solo album ‘Western Stars’, which was accompanied by the feature film of the same name directed by Springsteen and Thom Zimny.

From autumn 2017 to December 2018, Springsteen performed a historic 236 run of ‘Springsteen on Broadway’ at New York’s Walter Kerr Theatre.
