Corey Taylor's wife gives update after he falls 'very sick' with Covid-19
Thankfully he's on the mend
Corey Taylor’s wife has given fans an update days after the Stone Sour and Slipknot frontman announced he was “very, very sick” with Covid-19.
Last Friday (20th August), comic convention Astronomican shared a video from Corey announcing he can’t appear at the event after falling ill.
"I wish I had better news. I woke up today and tested positive, and I'm very, very sick,” Corey said. “So I'm not gonna be able to make it this weekend. And I am absolutely devastated. I am so sorry. I hope everyone has a good time, and I promise you I will absolutely try to get back there as soon as I can.”
Despite feeling ill, Corey said he wasn’t concerned as he’s vaccinated. “I should be okay — it's the flu. I'm vaccinated, so I'm not worried,” Corey said.
“But I certainly wouldn't want to spread it to anyone else. So, everybody be safe out there. And thank you so much. And I will see you again, I promise."
47-year-old Corey had recently completed a solo tour across the US in support of his solo album ‘CMFT.’
Two days after the video was shared, last night (22nd August) Corey’s wife Alicia Taylor gave fans an update saying he’s “doing well.”
"Wanted to give you guys an update: Corey is doing well and thanks everyone for the sweet thoughts and messages,” Alicia wrote.
“Ready to get him home as soon as it's safe, so I can take care of him! He (very luckily) hasn't lost his sense of taste or smell so I send him stupid amounts of snacks, hydration powders, and yummy desserts."
