Little Mix's 'Black Magic' certified 2x Platinum in the UK 🙌

Our faves Little Mix have had an incredible rise to fame since winning The X Factor in 2011 - taking home plenty of awards for their amazing songs! But in some brilliant news, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Jesy Nelson's song 'Black Magic' has been certified 2x Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
Originally released in 2015 from their third album 'Get Weird', the song is still a total favourite of Mixers all over the world, so it's no surprise really!

The girls were nominated for Choice Love Song at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards, as well as two BRIT Awards at the 2016 ceremony: British Single of the Year and Best British Video of the Year. It peaked at Number 1 in the UK and has also been certified 2x Platinum by the BPI.
Who wrote 'Black Magic'?
The song was written by songwriters Edvard Førre Erfjord, Henrik Michelsen, Ed Drewett and Camille Purcell, who goes by Kamille professionally. The girls have since worked with Kamille on many songs, including their latest album 'Confetti'. Leigh-Anne said of the song, "The potion is a metaphor for having confidence to get your man."

Little Mix's debut album 'DNA' was released on 19th November 2012, almost one year after they won The X Factor in December 2011. The record featured collaborations with T-Boz from TLC and Missy Elliott, and the record went to Number 3 in the UK and has been certified Platinum.
