Mae Muller has shared what she learned from the Little Mix girls after she supported the band on tour. Mae, who is set to represent the UK in the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest, and perform at Hits Live, supported the girls on their 'LM5 Tour' back in 2019.

Speaking to Fleur, James and Matt on Hits Radio ahead of her Hits Live performance, Mae reflected on the experience, which she described as a 'crash course' in captivating large audiences. When asked what she learned from supporting Little Mix on tour, the 25-year-old 'I Wrote A Song' singer said: "I'd never done an arena before that.

"I think my performance got a lot better and it was a crash course in trying to hold and command a room of that size, also a room that's not there for you in the first place. I think that really, really helped me. Sometimes, when you've got to win over the audience, you have to work a bit harder, which I think was actually a really good thing for me."

Not only did Mae gain experience from the chance to perform for packed arenas, but she also learned from the Little Mix girls themselves - Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and former member Jesy Nelson. She added: "Just being able to watch them every night was really inspiring and their work ethic is crazy.

"Sometimes they would do two shows in one day and that show is like a two and a half hour HIIT class whilst singing! Honestly the amount of effort and strength it takes is insane.

"I remember them actually saying to me: 'Just enjoy it, just take this experience.' We're in such a lucky position. I've tried to take that with me through Eurovision as well. Take each day as it comes, enjoy each experience and each lesson. It'll fly by and then I'll be like 'oh, I wish I'd taken that in a bit more'. So that's what I'm trying to do."

Mae will be performing at Hits Live Liverpool on Friday 26th May - just two weeks after performing on the very same stage at the 2023 Eurovision Grand Final.

Speaking of her excitement about performing in Liverpool for Hits Live, Mae said: "Oh my gosh, I'm so excited! It's such an honour. I'm just never going to leave Liverpool. I might just move there at this point!"
