Love Island: Gemma's mum has her say on Luca's treatment of Tasha

As we count down the days until the Love Island final, viewers have been left in defence of original Islander Tasha Ghouri this week, after the dancer was badly treated by her fellow Islanders, Luca Bish and Dami Hope.
The show's first ever deaf contestant was left in tears after the Snog, Marry, Pie challenge, not for the fact she was pied, but for the harsh reasons the boys gave.
Despite both Luca and Dami later apologising to Tasha for their treatment, a number of viewers dubbed their behaviour as 'bullying'.
Now, as the infamous Meet the Parents challenge looms, Gemma Owen's mum Louise Owen has sent her support to Tasha, seemingly dismissing Luca's behaviour in the process.
When Tasha's family posted a video of her alongside Andrew before last night's dumping, they wrote: 'Whatever happens tonight we’re just happy they have each other! ♥️'.
Louise commented: 'I hope Tasha is ok, I feel it’s close to bullying now which is so sad to see.' (sic)

As fans of the show will know, Luca has chosen not to make Gemma his official girlfriend in the villa until he gets the approval of her mum, with Louise expected to fly over to Mallorca for the Meet the Parents task.
However, despite fans praying Gemma's dad Michael Owen would travel over to the villa, the former footballer has dismissed the claims.
Speaking to Sky Sports’ At The Races, moments after watching his horse run, Michael said: “My wife will do that duty. I’ll represent the horses and she’ll represent the daughter.
“I don’t know what I’ll get from Box To Box. But I know what I’m going to get from my daughter. I’ve fathered her for 19 years so I’m pretty sure what I’m going to get from her.”
Meanwhile, in other Love Island news, four brand new bombshells made their entrance during Wednesday (20th July) night's show, in the form of Reece, Lacey, Jamie and Nathalia.
