Five Things We Don’t Know about you

I'm pretty much an open book and an over-sharer, but you may not know...

  1. I caught Katy Perry's guitar plectrum at her California Dreams Tour in 2011 in Glasgow and still have it!

  2. I have hypermobility so I'm extremely flexible!

  3. I love doing impressions of people and I think I'm pretty good at them

  4. I taught English in Thailand to young children and monks in 2017 and it was amazing

  5. I love McPlants from McDonald's. If you don't know, get to know.

Career History

WIthout sounding cliche, it started with me making the teas and coffees - and pretty much doing anything the station would let me do to be helping out! Dropping off prizes to winners and dressing up as mascots to name a few! I was then given my first on-air job hosting the Kool Ride to School, taking kids to school on a crazy party bus every Thursday morning, and from then I became traffic and travel host, co-host and finally a presenter of my own, and now hosting my very own show across Scotland!

Career Highlight to Date?

Opening a new M&S store alongside the actual Percy Pig... you can't get more showbiz than that!!

Your Favourite Scottish event of the year?

TRNSMT festival at Glasgow Green! The atmosphere, the vibe, the people... Is that a warm pint being thrown over me in the crowd or something else?! Who knows!

If you could change one thing about Scotland, what would it be?

How far away it is from Sydney where my bestie lives!! Maybe if we could have Sydney's weather too?!

What gives Scotland its edge?

The patter!!!

What is your favourite band/music act of all time?

That is an almost impossible question to ask a radio presenter! But I am forever and always Girls Aloud's biggest fan at heart! My childhood room was a shrine to them - I had so many posters and newspaper cuttings that even the ceiling was covered!

Which fashion accessory could you not live without?

A skip cap - the hidden gem of the fashion world. It hides all sins. Greasy hair? Skip cap. Eye bags? Skip cap. Breakout of spots? Skip cap. Bad day? Skip cap. It has the same healing effect as that wet paper towel that would solve all ailments back in primary school.

What is Scotland’s best kept secret?

Not really a secret, but the walks you can find up and away from the city - We take our Frenchie on so many of them, we just look them up on websites like The National Trust or we just go exploring around the parks and hills!

Who is the most interesting person you’ve interviewed and why?

Sharleen Spiteri. I don't even need to say why, she is an icon! If you haven't seen Texas live, get it on your bucket list.

If we gave you £1000, what would you spend it on?

Another french bulldog and some air freshener because as much as they are cute... their gas is not! If you know - you know!

If you weren’t on the radio, what would you be doing?

I like to say I'd be on CBeebies, but as I completed my teacher training at uni, I would no doubt be teaching your kids! Lucky escape for them!
