Northern Ireland’s International Airshow is making a comeback in 2024 as new September dates are released.

The showstopping event is planned to take place on the North Coast on September 7th and 8th, Council has confirmed.

There has also been a change in location with the show now set to stretch from West Bay promenade, Portrush to Ballyreagh Golf Course.

The event was set to make its return in 2022 however it was cancelled as a mark of respect following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

In 2019 Ireland’s biggest airshow displayed the Catalina, P-47 Thunderbolt, OV-10 Bronco, Augtogyro, Tuscano, RAF Tutor, Dakota, and Wing-walkers.

In recent years the Airshow has attracted thousands of visitors to the area, but questions have been raised about the cost of putting on such a spectacle.
