Molly Marsh's mum Janet hits back after rumours claim she 'works for ITV'
Molly returned to the Love Island villa
The infamous Casa Amor returned on the 2023 series of Love Island this weekend, and with it saw the sensational comeback of former Islander Molly Marsh, who re-joined the show as a bombshell much to the shock of the boys.
After the news of Molly's return was confirmed during a sneak preview on Friday night's show, viewers got to see Molly step back into the villa on Sunday night's (2nd July) show, where she had a very awkward chat with former love interest Zachariah Noble.
But after a number of fans vented their anger and frustration that Molly had been allowed to return, with many calling it 'unfair', a number of fans believed they'd uncovered that Molly's mum Janet actually worked for ITV.
Janet, who previously briefly appeared on Coronation Street, has now slammed the claims, writing on social media: 'I just want to put you all straight on this ‘producer plant’ rubbish.
'I do NOT work for ITV!! I never have! And don’t know where this ridiculous idea has come from. I’m a teacher and part time actress and mum! Unless there is someone with the same name at ITV, but it’s 100% not me. So please don’t believe this nonsense, it’s not fair on us or Molly.'

As fans know, Molly left Tyrique Hyde, Mitchell Taylor, Zachariah Noble, Sammy Root, Scott Van Der Sluis and Montel McKenzie shocked to the core when she entered the main villa alongside the other Casa bombshells.
Later on in Sunday's episode, Molly had a chat with basketball player Zachariah, questioning his loyalty after he quickly moved on with Kady McDermott following her exit. Although Zachariah was mainly lost for words, the conversation ended in Molly walking off, crying following the chat.
HOWEVER, as documented on Love Island: Aftersun with host Maya Jama, a first look video from tonight's show (Monday 3rd July), showed Zachariah attempting to kiss Molly, with the 21-year-old serving him up some pie.
Will the pair reunite?
