Big Zuu lands two more BAFTA TV nominations
For his show Big Zuu's Big Eats
Off the back of winning not one, but two BAFTA TV Awards back in 2022, Big Zuu has only gone and landed even more nominations ahead of the 2023 ceremony in May.
Big Zuu, real name Zuhair Hassan, has been nominated in the categories 'Features' and 'Entertainment Performance', for his award-winning series Big Zuu's Big Eats.
Taking to social media to respond to the news, Big Zuu said: 'NOMINATED FOR 2 MORE BAFTA’S. BIG ZUU’S BIG EATS HAS GOT 5 NOMINATIONS & 2 AWARDS OVER 3 SEASONS.
'THIS IS NOT NORMAL.
'THANK YOU ALLAH FOR EVERYTHING.
'BIG UP @bafta FOR THE RECOGNITION.' (sic)
In the Features category, Big Zuu's show is up against The Martin Lewis Money Show, The Misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan, and Joe Lycett vs David Beckham: A Got Your Back Christmas Special.
In the Entertainment Performance category, he's up against Claudia Winkleman, Rosie Jones, Lee Mack, Sue Perkins, and Mo Gilligan.
Amongst the likes of Jodie Comer and Ant and Dec, rapper Big Zuu landed two awards at the 2022 BAFTA TV Awards.
Taking to social media to express his excitement at the time: Big Zuu wrote: 'I won 2 BAFTAs tonight and all I can do is thank my amazing team around me + every single person who supports us. We are the change ❤️'.
The 2023 BAFTA TV Awards are due to take place on the 14th May.
