Listen to Ghost's unique version of Metallica's 'Enter Sandman'
Lifted from 'The Metallica Blacklist' album
Enigmatic Swedish metallers Ghost have premiered their cover of Metallica’s metal anthem ‘Enter Sandman.’
Ghost’s version of ‘Enter Sandman’ opens with Papa Emeritus IV (aka Tobias Forge) singing echoey vocals alongside plaintive piano plonks before his Nameless Ghouls introduce some muscular riffs 50 seconds in.
Much more melodic and pop-tinged than Metallica’s original, the cover is stamped with Ghost's indelible imprint throughout.

Ghost’s version of ‘Enter Sandman’ is one of 53 covers that appear on the Metallica charity album ‘The Metallica Blacklist’, which is released today (10th September).
100% of sales proceeds from ‘The Metallica Blacklist’ go directly to charity – 50% to Metallica’s own All Within My Hands Foundation and 50% to a charity of each artist’s choice.
Yesterday, Metallica joined forces with Miley Cyrus to perform a live version of 'Nothing Else Matters' for US radio station Sirius XM.

Alongside ‘The Metallica Blacklist’, Metallica have released a 30th anniversary edition of ‘The Black Album’ today via their Blackened Recordings imprint.
It’s available in multiple formats including 180-gram Double Vinyl LP, Standard CD and 3 CD Expanded Edition, digital, and a sprawling Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set containing more than 24 hours of music.
