Ozzy Osbourne has shared professionally filmed footage of his entire halftime show at the Los Angeles Rams’ American football game versus Buffalo Bills at SoFi Stadium last Thursday (8th September).
The Prince of Darkness performed his new album title track ‘Patient Number 9’ and his seminal 1980 anthem ‘Crazy Train’ at the game last week, which kick-started the NFL (National Football League) season.
However, millions of viewers in the US were left disappointed when broadcasters NBC aired just 10 seconds of the set – a small snippet of ‘Patient Number 9’ – before cutting to commentators.
Those who wanted to watch Ozzy’s halftime show had to resort to searching for fan-filmed footage on YouTube.
Fortunately, five days on, Ozzy has now shared official footage of his entire performance with his long-term guitarist Zakk Wylde, ‘Patient Number 9’ producer Andrew Watt on guitars, drummer Tommy Clufetos, and bassist Chris Chaney.

The short set at the NFL game last Thursday was Ozzy Osbourne’s first solo live performance Stateside in almost four years.
It came a month after Ozzy performed ‘Paranoid’ at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games closing ceremony with his former Black Sabbath band mate Tony Iommi.
In a recent interview with The Guardian, Ozzy said the surprise performance of ‘Paranoid’ has given him some optimism for the future.
“Since I had my (first neck) surgery and everything got f---ed up, it’s been three or four years since I’ve performed,” Ozzy said. “And I was thinking it’ll never happen again. But that show’s given me a bit of hope.”
Looking forward to his No More Tours 2 UK trek in 2023 with Judas Priest, Ozzy vowed: “I’m saying to you I’ll give it the best shot I can for another tour. You have not seen the end of Ozzy Osbourne, I promise you. If I have to go up there and die on the first song, I’ll still be back the next day.”
Featuring collaborations with Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Taylor Hawkins, Zakk Wylde, Robert Trujillo and many more, Ozzy Osbourne’s new album ‘Patient Number 9’ is at Number 2 at the midweek stage on the UK’s Official Albums Chart.
Ozzy is being held off the top spot by Robbie Williams’ latest effort ‘XXV’, which is currently outselling the rest of the Top 10 put together.
