Oasis legend Liam Gallagher has premiered his new single ‘Everything’s Electric’ featuring Foo Fighters legend Dave Grohl.

Liam Gallagher and Dave Grohl co-wrote ‘Everything’s Electric’ together and Grohl plays drums on the track. Frequent Foo Fighters collaborator, the multiple Grammy Award and Ivor Novello winner Greg Kurstin, has produced the song.

Gallagher and Grohl have been good friends for a number of decades, and Foo Fighters supported Oasis on their Don’t Believe The Truth Tour back in 2005.

A bold description of ‘Everything’s Electric’ reads: ‘Liam wanted a song that melds the thunderous dynamics of Beastie Boys’ ‘Sabotage’ with the spiralling tension and danger of The Rolling Stones’ ‘Gimme Shelter’. And that’s what they achieved.

‘With raw, rhythmic phrasing, this is as close as Liam’s iconic snarl comes to rapping and that punk-meets-hip-hop attack is underlined by boisterous bass. Meanwhile, slide guitar, piano flourishes and Liam’s haunting backing vocals pay tribute to arguably The Stones’ finest moment.’

Liam Gallagher will perform ‘Everything’s Electric’ live for the first time at The BRIT Awards at London’s The O2 on Tuesday 8th February.

The song is the first taster for Liam Gallagher’s third solo album ‘C’mon You Know’, which is released on Friday 27th May 2022.

Gallagher will be hoping it’s his fourth consecutive Number 1 solo record following 2017’s ‘As You Were’, 2019’s ‘Why Me? Why Not.’ and his 2020 live album ‘MTV Unplugged (Live at Hull City Hall)’

Following the release of ‘C’mon You Know’, Liam Gallagher plays a series of shows this June including two sold-out gigs at Knebworth, a homecoming concert at Manchester Etihad Stadium and Glasgow Hampden Park.
